A Slight Adjustment
I visited a chiropractor today for the first time! ^_^ And I feel GREAT.
Being a mailler, like a lot of other jobs, involves sitting bent over for long periods of time and doing very repetitive, fiddly work with my hands. Because I have to do all my own photos, editing, website stuff, etc, it also involves a lot of desk work. Again, pretty normal physical stresses considering that I have a strange job. But there are a lot of other, cumulative problems that I’ve been trying to deal with on my own, including some that I didn’t even know could still bother me because, well… They were fixed! At least, I thought they were.
The doctor was pretty concerned with my laundry list of problems (including the double carpal tunnel from my previous animation career) but what was bothering him (and me, physically) the most were old injuries. I’ve broken a lot of bones, some more than once, and dislocated my shoulders multiple times. But I’ve got severe vertigo and I’m into martial arts, so getting banged up has always been a pretty normal occurrence for me. I can’t even drive because there’s a good chance I’ll have a vertigo attack and take out eight lanes of traffic. This is yet another reason why you always see Brian with me at shows. ^_^
So with all of those nasty problems to deal with, it took a good half hour of adjusting and some electrical massage therapy, but I feel wonderful! My right shoulder doesn’t even make that icky bone-on-bone grinding noise anymore! It’s made that noise for about as long as I can remember.
The fact that I’m typing this post all in one sitting is pretty amazing, actually. Making chainmaile usually doesn’t bother my hands, but typing and, sadly, drawing usually does. I should go give that a try, too!
Later,
Bran

I suppose your site gets a lot of visitors since the design is so professional looking. I am in the beginning of starting my own site can you tell me who your designer is? Thanks in advance.
Thanks! ^_^ Actually, I designed it, but I didn’t do it entirely on my own. I know a fair amount of code for CSS and HTML and my old site was hardcoded, but it was a pain to update. I also wanted a blog-like format, but coding all taht PHP would have taken forever. I decided to use WordPress because I heard that it was user-friendly and had a ton of quality themes to choose from. Also, it’s free, and I was able to use it with my own domain. I found a theme that allows pretty much total customization, so long as you know some basic CSS. It’s fairly easy – I learned everything I know from the site HTML Dog. So the theme took care of the layout (which you can tweak) and I made my graphics, set my colors, arranged things how I wanted them… It took a few days of fiddling around with it, though.
