My Anvil
Yep, an anvil, with a turning fork, wire brush (for cleaning off the firescale) and all-important HAMMER. ^_^ We learned that the key to comfortable smithing is proper anvil height. You need to be able to stand next to it with your arm extended and your hand in a fist, with your fist resting on the anvil. Your elbow shouldn’t be bent, and you shouldn’t have to stoop to have your knuckles touch it. Most of us, myself included, just went around the shop until we found an anvil the right height and then claimed it as our workstation.
