First off, we both had an awesome time at Tekkoshocon! Thanks to everyone who stopped by to shop and chat, and for all the congratulations on our “Future Geek”. For anyone who’s curious, she will be arriving sometime at the end of May.

As for the con itself, I personally didn’t get much of a chance to wander around past the Artist’s Alley, but I did get to go to the BJD Meet-Up on Saturday, which was all sorts of dolly fun. I didn’t get to go to the Dealer’s Room, but Brian did and he was able to snag some manga and figures. He was also able to go to a panel on Webcomics and speak with some of the panel folks. April is Script Frenzy for all of you writer types out there, and he’s working on a comic book script. Feel free to toss him encouragement and poke him mercilessly about his page count.

As for the con itself and its new venue… I LOVE IT! The convention center is incredibly spacious, with plenty of elevators, bathrooms (which were never crowded and very clean), and water fountains scattered about. The fact that it’s downtown and a stone’s throw from The Strip also means lots of parking and food options. This is seriously the most “comfortable” con I’ve ever been to, and I’m hoping we can be back next year.

Brian would also like to thank everyone who took a mini-pamphlet for his audio book podcast. He would also like to thank our pal Maqqy of MHHO Studios for sacrificing a bit of table space for his pamphlets, as well. She is, as they say on The Internets, “Teh Awesum”.

But now I’ve got to get my Etsy shop updated to reflect what was sold, take more pictures, and list the items that made their debut at the con. I also plan on getting all of my photos up on Flickr so I can post a slideshow here for your perusal. Thanks again, everyone – I hope you all got home safely and had as cool a time as I did!
